Identifying your patients on LABAs
This audit is designed to identify people in your practice on LABAs in order to discuss their Asthma Management Plans
and ICS use at their next visit.
People identified in this audit should be queried about ICS use and have their asthma management plans updated to incorporate
current thinking on the use of LABAs in worsening asthma.
If you are using MedTech you simply complete the query builder form as below.
Select items from the box on the left and transfer them to the appropriate box on the right of the screen. You will
need to run separate queries for eformoterol and salmeterol if you prescribe both.
Once patients are identified, we suggest you flag these patients’ notes for a discussion at their next visit.
