* The Dexcom G6 CGM is being discontinued and will no longer be funded in New Zealand from early 2027.21 Prescribers should ensure that no new patients are started on the Dexcom G6 and begin transitioning patients currently using this model to an alternative funded interoperable CGM.

† MARD is the difference of the CGM reading from the reference or standard of care measurement; a lower MARD indicates greater accuracy

‡ Excluding shipping. Some suppliers offer packs with multiple sensors or subscription options that reduce the cost per sensor. The approximate costs shown here are based on the purchase of a single sensor.

Australian and New Zealand CGM (anzCGM) minimum standard recommendations have been developed. These propose minimum standards of accuracy and precision for CGM devices.
